The countdown to the Lake District National Park Authority’s bid for World Heritage status continued in the pouring rain at Ambleside Sports.
The authority’s chief executive Richard Leafe posed with an ‘I’ve Herd’ campaign hessian bag and told Windermere Now that the final decision will be taken next year in Poland.
“July 2017 in Krakow,” he said. “Fingers crossed!”
